Types of Storm Damage to Your Roof That We Handle

Storms can affect your roof in many ways, and being aware of them can help you spot issues quickly after severe weather. Common types of roof damage we address include:

  • Wind Damage – Strong winds can lift, loosen, or remove shingles and expose the underlayment, making your roof vulnerable to moisture.
  • Hail Damage – Hailstones can dent roofing materials, dislodge granules, and compromise the surface of shingles.
  • Water Intrusion – Heavy rain or compromised roofing materials can allow water to seep in, leading to leaks or interior damage.
  • Falling Debris – Branches and other debris carried by storms can puncture or crack shingles and flashing.
  • Damaged Flashing and Gutters – Storms can bend or detach the metal components that seal roof transitions and manage water runoff.
  • Loose or Missing Shingles – Weather events can cause shingles to loosen or fall off entirely, reducing your roof’s protection.
